2006 Travelers of the Year Awards

Please join us in celebrating 89 exceptional clinicians who embrace the mobile lifestyle in this, Healthcare Traveler's fifth annual Travelers of the Year Awards. Each of these remarkable travelers will receive a signature lead crystal award, personalized certificate, and copies of this special issue.

As in recent years, we asked staffing company representatives to nominate one nurse and/or one allied healthcare professional who they felt best demonstrates excellence in healthcare and exemplifies the spirit of travel. What characteristics qualify mobile providers for their companies' distinction of Traveler of the Year? Recruiters consistently cited flexibility, dependability, loyalty, and work ethic as determining factors. Positive client evaluations, repeated requests for contract extensions by facility administrators, length of service, and successful referrals also influenced staffing executives' choices.

Our annual event illustrates the valued relationship between recruiters, travelers, and assignment facilities. Read on as Healthcare Traveler presents accolades from recruiters and clients alike—and pays tribute to the "best of the best."
