| Annapolis, Maryland The Maryland Renaissance Faire takes place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each weekend from now through October. Within the English Tudor Village’s 25 acres, guests find five taverns, 13 drink stands, 130 craft shops displaying works by village artisans, and a feast of food rarely seen at other festivals. Theme weekends include Rapiers & Roses on September 12-13, Irish Weekend on September 19-20, Pirate Adventure Weekend on September 26-27, Oktoberfest on October 3-4, Shakespeare Weekend on October 10-11, Scottish Celebration on October 17-18, and Chivalry Weekend on October 24-25. Tickets cost $8.00 for children age 7-15, $15 for seniors, and $18 for adults. Discounted weekend and lifetime passes are available. A discount coupon is available on www.rennfest.com until September 14. In addition to the Renaissance Faire, Annapolis is bursting with culture and outdoor attractions. Check out its naval heritage on a visit to the Naval Academy campus and city harbor. Shoppers delight in unique boutiques and high-end stores along the brick walkways on Main Street. Art galleries, restaurants, and historic attractions line Church Circle. The modern Westfield Annapolis and Annapolis Town Centre are both jaw-dropping havens for shopping, dining, movies, and entertainment.
